Concerns about the potential abuse of AARTO has, unfortunately, cast a cloud over the demerit system. Similar point systems are implemented in at least 20 European countries as well as many more across the world. These have proven successful in those countries but the potential of a point system in South Africa is not given enough credit because of a lack of understanding of the ultimate goal of a demerit system.
The webinar will provide greater understanding which will help mobilise drivers to change their driving behaviour and organisations to be prepared for its implementation.
