Welcome level three

Welcome level three
July 26, 2021 by MasterTorque

Last night President Cyril Ramaphosa moved the country down to adjusted level three restrictions. South Africans heaved a respective sigh of relief as this both means there will a lessening on limitations and that the country is starting to see a decrease in what has been the most aggressive wave yet.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the company has been and will continue providing driver instruction during level three – albeit with greater flexibility. “Those who need to continue meeting their health and safety requirements and understand the importance of equipping their drivers with the skills needed to remain safe on South African roads, can now take a more proactive role with regard to rolling out specialised training. “

Stress levels, economic challenges and operating within this new way of life make it a particularly challenging time for drivers. “It is just as important, possibly even more so, to ensure that drivers are properly trained to handle the challenges. MasterDrive has been here since the start of level four lockdown last year and throughout every level since then to help you meet this need.

“As has been experienced in Europe and the US, driving standards have deteriorated significantly and therefore we need more interventions, not less! In the desperate need to prevent the spread of COVID-19 let’s not forget that which kills thousands of South Africans every year!” says Herbert.

MasterDrive will continue to follow the stringent COVID-19 protocols and spread-prevention processes. “Screening processes, regular use of sanitiser, social distancing and the use of PPE will continue at all offices throughout South Africa. Doing our part to reduce the spread is a priority at MasterDrive.

“As MasterDrive recommits to their processes that do as much as possible to reduce the spread, the company encourages South Africans to do the same. Follow the restrictions put in place and enjoy the new freedoms responsibly so that no undue pressure is placed on hospitals. In the meantime, MasterDrive looks forward to helping you meet your health and safety requirements,” says Herbert.
