Facelifted Mazda3

Facelifted Mazda3
August 17, 2023 by MasterTorque

Since its debut in 2003 the Mazda3 earned a reputation as one of the most iconic hatchbacks on the road and quickly became Mazda’s best-selling model worldwide. The sleek, modern hatch is designed to turn heads and the recent facelift adds even more advanced technology and styling options.

In true Mazda fashion, the Mazda3 comes equipped with everything you need in a car, and more. Everything from the leather-clad multi-function steering wheel, Heads Up Display, and MZD Connect system are designed to effortlessly connect driver and vehicle.

The facelifted version now offers Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay, USB Type-C connectivity, and wireless charging (Qi standard) that works on all modern smartphones. These additions ensure the Mazda3 offers buyers the latest, and most convenient, connectivity options.

Exceptional design

The Mazda3 is as beautiful to look at as it is to drive. Its low roofline and clean lines denote a wide, powerful stance. With the Mazda3, designers took the convenience of a hatchback and sculpted it into a poised and sporty vehicle with an aggressive road presence. The Mazda3 never gets lost in the crowd.

The recent facelift also adds a new exterior colour: Ceramic White. Mazda is constantly evolving its vehicle paint techniques so that every shade perfectly accentuates the design of its vehicles. This attention to detail means the Mazda3 will catch your eye in any colour.

Inside, the Mazda3 displays an elegant interior free of any fuss or clutter. The strong exterior design lines are echoed in the cabin from the purposeful dashboard and streamlined centre console to the sloped roof at the rear.

Whether it is in Soul Red Crystal or Ceramic White, the Mazda3 is a beautiful, exhilarating, and timeless hatchback that encourages the pure joy of driving.

New line-up

Along with the facelift, Mazda made changes to the Mazda3 model line-up which is now available in three variants:

The 1.5 Litre Manual in-line 4-cylinder 16 valve DOHC S-VT Petrol (SKYACTIV-G) with i-stop delivers 88kW @ 6,000 rpm and 153 Nm @ 4,000 rpm.

About Mazda KODO design

KODO Design is Mazda’s way of breathing soul and personality into metal, wood and leather using traditional tools, outstanding craftsmanship and the passion of an artist. As with traditional Japanese crafts, we start with a simple, sculpted form and as we create, we design to achieve beauty without distraction or clutter.

Mazda starts every interior with one focus: connecting the driver with their car. The company builds every vehicle around the driver and engineers technologies with the driver in mind so that everything feels intuitive and effortless.

This approach employs advanced techniques to study how people move and react as they drive. Then engineers and designers come together to design cockpits and interiors based on a human-centric approach. When driving feels natural and stress-free, it gives the driver maximum control, complete safety and the ultimate driving pleasure.
