Fleet Safety Awards closing date weeks away

Fleet Safety Awards closing date weeks away
September 4, 2025 by Samantha Greathead

As we enter Spring, fleet professionals are also entering the last month during which to enter the Fleet Safety Awards. With just three weeks remaining until the submission deadline on 25 September 2025, now is the time to begin crafting your entry.

This prestigious Awards ceremony celebrates excellence in road safety across various roles in the mobility industry and the part they play in road safety. The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says: “Rushing a last-minute submission could mean missing the opportunity to showcase your organisation’s commitment to safety leadership to its full extent.

“The most compelling award submissions are those that thoroughly demonstrate the depth and breadth of safety initiatives. Taking time to carefully prepare your response allows you to properly illustrate the comprehensive measures your organisation implements to promote road safety. Whatever sets you apart, your submission should paint a complete picture of your safety culture.”

Quality entries provide detailed examples, quantifiable results, and evidence of sustained commitment to road safety excellence. “This level of detail cannot be achieved in a rushed, last-minute submission.

“Successful submissions require time to gather comprehensive data and present a solid demonstration of your safety journey. Compelling data along with thoughtful reflection on one’s safety contributions will be difficult to accurately condense in a few hurried hours before deadline,” says Herbert.

What the Judges Are Looking For

The judging panel is seeking exceptional individuals and organisations who go beyond mere compliance with safety regulations.

They’re looking for visionary leaders and innovative companies that:

  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in safety performance and incident reduction
  • Show genuine commitment to fostering a safety-first culture
  • Implement comprehensive policies and procedures that exceed industry standards
  • Display leadership in promoting road safety within their teams and the broader industry
  • Integrate sustainable practices alongside safety excellence
  • Actively contribute to advancing road safety knowledge and best practices
  • Serve as positive role models and mentors
