Ford Kuga complaints clarified

Following the recent recall of 4 500 Ford Kuga’s, the motoring industry Ombudsman is providing clarity on their role. “There seems to be confusion and misunderstanding among motorists regarding Ford Kuga complaints,” notes motor industry ombudsman Johan van Vreden.

“Only complaints regarding under-bonnet fires experienced by Ford Kuga owners should be addressed to the National Consumer Commission. All other complaints experienced with Kuga models or any other Ford products may be lodged with the office of the motor industry ombudsman at, “ says Van Vreden.

To obtain even greater clarity on this, owners must contact the ombudsman’s information and liaison department on 086 116 4672. Van Vreden also points out that the services offered by his office are available to vehicle owners free of charge.

Issued by the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA).
