During Transport Month, the MasterDrive team had an opportunity to support the Montblanc Financial Services golf day. R148 000 was raised to be donated to Little Eden, an organisation that provides care to adults and children with intellectual disabilities.
During the course of the day, the golfers were asked to putt a golf ball between two cones while wearing the Drunk Buster Goggles. “All the golfers were clearly amazed at how drastically your vision can be affected. The sad reality, especially as we approach the silly season, is that there is still a very high number of people who drink and drive. The consequences of this can be devastating.
“In our drive against drink driving, we are happy to provide our support to an organisation like Little Eden where the victims of drunk driving crashes could possibly find refuge. We hope that the funds raised will go a long way in creating a place of safety for the children and adults affected by mental disabilities. Thank you to Montblanc Financial Services for including us in this worthy cause,” says Herbert.
