Join the fight against COVID-19

Join the fight against COVID-19
June 30, 2021 by MasterTorque

The Mobi Med Team in the South of Johannesburg is providing COVID-19 Antigen Rapid testing to patients as numbers rapidly rise in the area. The team is being led by Dr Singh and Genevieve Durand with the help of local ward council Sarah Wissler and others.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the Mobi Med Team is doing their part in alleviating the strain being placed on the healthcare system. “We commend these individuals for the work they are doing in providing access to speedy tests. The sheer demand sees them working tirelessly for hours on end.

“MasterDrive has donated PPE products to the Mobi Med Team in an effort to assist with the testing. These included gloves and face shields. The team expressed sincere gratitude for the products as they were down to their last box of gloves when the items from MasterDrive arrived.”

No profit is being made by offering this service. “The team will need ongoing support from the community and businesses operating within the community to assist them in their efforts. MasterDrive encourages every business and individual who can to help by contributing in some way.

“It is by standing together and doing what we can to help others that we will emerge from the third wave stronger than before. Every donation and offer of assistance can go a long way in helping individuals get tested promptly and with empathy and understanding despite the fear associated with COVID-19. We encourage all to do whatever they can to assist,” says Herbert.
