MasterDrive at Festival of Motoring

MasterDrive at Festival of Motoring
August 10, 2024 by Samantha Greathead

This year at the Festival of Motoring (FoM), MasterDrive will have a presence for a third year in a row. We will again be participating in various manners and look forward to another successful event.

Women with Drive – ALIVE (29 August)

MasterDrive’s Women with Drive event is returning to FoM, for the third time. It is entitled ‘Women with Drive – ALIVE!’ and represents the dynamic, ever-evolving nature of business which is full of possibility for women in the industry.

Women with Drive – ALIVE will shine a light on influential women leading the way within their organisations as they take the next step in their development, promote diversity and uplift other women or those who have led their organisations through several generations.

A panel discussion, ‘The Ecosystem of Sustainable Mobility: Connecting, Collaborating, and Conquering,’ will look at the future, challenges and opportunities, sustainability and empowerment within the mobility sector, among other important topics.

The lifestyle presentation will focus on an important aspect vital to the well-rounded success of ladies on the path to success in the mobility industry. ‘Mental wellness for women in the fast lane’ will address stress management for ladies in high-pressure roles, achieving work-life balance as well as addressing mindfulness and resilience.

An important part of Women with Drive is to show support for an organisation that gives back to the community. The event supports this organisation to either bring awareness to or help in achieving their goals. Women with Drive – ALIVE will feature an organisation that assists vulnerable women.

It will be another exceptional Women with Drive event. The speakers and panellists will share information that will play an invaluable role in attendees’ own journey to success.

MasterDrive stand in the pits (30 August to 1 September)

Visit MasterDrive at their display which will be positioned in one of the most exciting spots at FoM: the pit area. Stop by to have a chat with the team, learn more about our Hi-Performance Experience and catch a glimpse of the Mustangs that are driven during the Experience (but, unfortunately, not at the Festival).

VIP rides (30 August to 1 September)

Pre-selected individuals will have the opportunity to join the MasterDrive Hi-Performance team in the Mustangs on the track. Enjoy the thrill of racing around the world-famous Kyalami Racetrack in a vehicle that positively trembles at your fingertips to let loose. The VIP rides are exclusively for MasterDrive partners and cannot be purchased.

Launch of MasterDrive Driver Search

The hunt for the next participant in the MasterDrive Driver Search will again begin at FoM. Aspiring drivers that would like to join the MasterDrive team as competitors at the Simola Hillclimb in 2025 can be one of the first competitors to submit their entry. Participants that make it into the final rounds will undergo intensive training and preparation for the Hillclimb culminating in their first ascent of the hill.

MasterDrive anticipates an even bigger and better experience at the FoM.
