New Ford models coming
June 8, 2026 by Samantha Greathead

Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (Manufacturing) (Pty) Limited (“Ford South Africa”) is entering an exciting new phase of product momentum with the highly anticipated introduction of the Model Year 2026 Ranger and Everest, alongside the new Territory. Representing one of the most significant refreshes of its local product line-up in recent years, these vehicles are designed not just for adventure, but to deliver unparalleled peace of mind and enduring quality to South African customers.

Together, these vehicles strengthen Ford’s presence across three important segments: the hard-working and lifestyle bakkie market, the family SUV category, and the premium adventure SUV space. More importantly, this updated line-up brings the Ford Family Promise to life, a commitment built on over 102 years of Ford heritage in South Africa, focusing on transparency, exceptional service quality, and an ownership experience rooted in trust.

“South Africa remains a key market for Ford, and the introduction of the updated Ranger and Everest, alongside the new Territory, is a clear demonstration of our dedication to our customers,” says Neale Hill, President, Africa Operations. “We are giving South Africans more choice and capability, but above all, we are giving them confidence. Our focus has shifted beyond just technical specifications; it is about investing in quality products and a trusted ownership experience that matters most to our Ford family.”

“Having recently revealed the Everest Tremor this month, we are confident that this addition will broaden the line-up’s off-road appeal and stimulate further demand from customers looking for a serious SUV adventure,” he said.

Ranger: proven dependability for work and play

The MY26 Ranger line-up, proudly built at Ford’s Silverton Manufacturing Plant in Pretoria, continues to grow its reputation as a highly dependable partner for work and play. Offering an incredible 23 derivatives, customers can find a Ranger perfectly tailored to their needs, knowing it is backed by Ford’s rigorous quality standards.

Key updates include the dynamic new Ranger Sport featuring the 2.3 EcoBoost petrol engine and the broader availability of Ford’s highly trusted 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine. Reinforcing a commitment to long-term quality, the upgraded 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine now features a timing chain specifically designed for enhanced durability, ensuring the Ranger remains a steadfast and reliable companion for years to come.

A resolute long-term commitment: Everest Tremor and ranger super duty

Going forward the Tremor nameplate is scheduled to join the local Everest line-up later in 2026, taking the SUV’s trusted off-road capability to even greater heights. Furthermore, Ford will introduce the legendary Ranger Super Duty to South Africa in 2027, bringing an unprecedented level of capability, towing, and workhorse performance to customers who demand the absolute toughest vehicles.

“These future products show that Ford is deeply invested in South Africa’s future,” says Hill. “The arrival of Everest Tremor and the confirmed introduction of Super Duty in 2027 send a powerful message about our unwavering, long-term commitment to this market and our determination to serve customers whose needs continue to evolve.”

Connected confidence through the Ford app

The Ford app is now available across all the Ford nameplates, giving customers a smarter and convenient way to stay connected to their vehicles. Through the app, owners can remotely lock and unlock their vehicle, schedule remote start times, monitor vehicle status and receive health alerts directly from their smartphone. This connected experience adds everyday convenience, transparency and confidence to the Ford ownership journey.

Ford family promise: our operational north star

Whether customers are driving a new Ranger today or anticipating the Ranger Super Duty in 2027, Ford’s commitment to quality extends far beyond the vehicles themselves. Central to this next chapter is the Ford Family Promise, which serves as Ford’s operational North Star for 2026. This initiative guarantees that every customer is treated like family throughout their entire ownership journey.

Through Ford’s national network of over 100 dealers, customers have access to Ford’s Family Promise offerings designed for ultimate convenience and transparency: online service bookings, 60-minute Express Service, vehicle pick-up and delivery, mobile servicing in selected areas, comprehensive Roadside Assistance, and flexible finance through Ford Credit.

“With Ready Set Ford, we are bringing renewed energy to the brand, and with our Ford Family Promise, we are backing that energy with action,” concludes Hill. “Our goal is simple: to deliver high-quality vehicles and an ownership experience South Africans can rely on for decades to come.”
