Racing for a good cause

The MasterDrive team had the opportunity to build team spirit this weekend while supporting a good cause. Corporate teams entered into a go-kart race in an attempt to beat, or at least emulate, the speed of a cheetah.  It was the 11th annual Charity Cheetah Karting Day at the Zwartkops Karting track.

Teams competed against one another in aid of the fastest animal on land. The MasterDrive team was there to show their support for the cause while also showing off their Karting skills. The managing director of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, explains: “MasterDrive is dedicated to playing our role in conserving the environment and the animals that exist within this, due to the impact that vehicles can have. This event presents the perfect opportunity to do that.

“We are proud of what our team achieved and it also provided them with an opportunity to compete with other corporations in the industry. We look forward to what next year’s event has in store and to better our achievements. Either way, the cheetahs from Anne van Dyk Cheetah Centre benefitted from the event, which is all the reward that we need,” says Herbert.
