Updated Suzuki Dzire

Updated Suzuki Dzire
December 15, 2025 by MasterTorque

A sophisticated new black cabin for the Dzire sedan was introduced by Suzuki Auto South Africa. Replacing the previous beige trim with a finish that is both more fashionable and more resilient, the update applies to all models produced from November 2025.

This exciting upgrade brings several real-world advantages. Renowned for their upmarket look and feel, black interiors tend to wear better over time and maintain their appearance in demanding family or commuter environments. For ride-hailing professionals, parents and everyday commuters, this thoughtful overhaul makes the Dzire an even more practical – not to mention stylish – player in the AB-segment.

Interior enhancement aside, the Dzire’s specifications and pricing remain unchanged.

Launched in May 2025, Suzuki’s fourth-generation Dzire introduced a modern, value-driven compact sedan built on the lightweight HEARTECT platform for improved efficiency and driving dynamics. It offers a sleek exterior available in seven colours, a cabin inspired by the latest Swift, seating for five adults and a 378l boot.

Standard features on all models include digital air conditioning, USB ports front and rear, rear ventilation, parking sensors, hill hold control and electric windows. The GL+ variant adds cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a reverse camera for easy parking in congested city centres.

Power comes from Suzuki’s sophisticated new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine producing 60kW at 5,700rpm and 112Nm or torque at 4,300rpm. It can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or continuously variable transmission (CVT) and delivers fuel consumption as low as 4.4l/100km. Safety is comprehensive across all derivatives, with six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, brake assist, rear ISOFIX anchors and side-impact door beams. These features contributed to the Dzire achieving a five-star Global NCAP crash-test rating in India earlier this year.

Spacious, affordable to run and generously equipped, the Suzuki Dzire already ticks many boxes for value-conscious South African buyers. The suave new upholstery simply makes it even easier to live with – and ready for whatever life throws at it.

Pricing:

Suzuki Dzire GA 5MT: R229,900

Suzuki Dzire GL+ 5MT: R252,900

Suzuki Dzire GL+ CVT: R272,900

Pricing includes VAT, a five-year/200,000km promotional warranty and a four-year/60,000km service plan.
