A blonde tells a friend that she is happy that a new car wash opened in the neighbourhood. Her friend asks why that makes her happy.

Extended period
Two rednecks in a pickup truck drove to a lumber yard. One of them walks into the office and says, “I need some four-by-twos.”
“You must mean two-by-fours,” the clerk suggests.
The fellow stares blankly for a minute. “I’ll go check,” he says, heading back to the truck. When he returns, he says, “Yeah, I meant two-by-fours.”
“OK, how long do you want them?”
The customer stares blankly again. “I’d better go check.” After a lengthy discussion at the truck, he returns to the office. “A long time,” he replies. “We’re building a house.”
