Overconfidence
An over confident golfer teed his ball, looks toward the next green, and declares confidently, “For me, that’s one long drive and a putt.”
He swings his driver, tears up the sod, and manages to move the ball a few feet off the tee.
Stepping forward, the caddie hands him the putter and suggests, “Now that’s going to be a hell of a putt.”
When adulthood gets you
I am stepping down from my position as an adult. It turns out this isn’t for me, but I appreciate the opportunity.
