MasterDrive Durban open for business

MasterDrive Durban open for business
April 21, 2022 by MasterTorque

Last week the Kwa-Zulu Natal area was left devastated by heavy rainfall and the consequent floods. Many lives were lost, homes were washed away, Durban harbour was temporarily closed and many businesses were unable to conduct operations. A State of Disaster was declared and clean-up and recovery has already begun.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the office in Durban was fortunately not affected by the floods. “Consequently, MasterDrive Durban remains open for business and ready to provide for the training needs of all clients that will continue meeting their health and safety requirements during this time. All organisations whose training schedules will not be impeded by recovery efforts can rely on MasterDrive to assist you with in meeting these needs. In fact, with the additional challenges on the roads, continuing training schedules is of vital importance.

“Furthermore, if MasterDrive can assist fleets that were affected by the recent flooding, we are happy to help you in this manner. This can be in the provision of Toolbox Talks on poor weather driving and skidding. Alternatively, extra training content that addresses driving on roads in bad condition (as recovery will likely take some time) can also be arranged. MasterDrive would like to walk with our clients through this difficult time and if there is assistance that you require, do not hesitate to talk to the team so we can make this happen.”

MasterDrive would like to send their condolences and thoughts to all families and businesses affected. “Condolences to everyone that lost members of their families and thoughts to all those that need to rebuild after the devastating floods. The coming months will be a difficult time for the province and MasterDrive will be by your side through this,” says Herbert.
