A successful Kyalami 9 Hour

A successful Kyalami 9 Hour
March 2, 2023 by MasterTorque

Last weekend MasterDrive had the opportunity to play a role at the Kyalami 9 Hour, providing hot laps to VIP visitors to the motorsport event on Friday and Saturday. It was the first time MasterDrive had a presence at the endurance race.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says those participating in the hot laps went around the track in the vehicles the company uses in their Hi-Performance programme. “This includes two Mustangs and a special appearance by a 911 Porsche Carrera 4 GTS. For many people this is a first and once-in-a-lifetime experience and MasterDrive was proud to provide this opportunity.

“It also gave participants a chance to get a taste of what the Hi-Performance experience with MasterDrive is all about. While this time they experienced the track with our track drivers at the wheel, at the performance day, they will be the drivers instead.”

Their presence at Kyalami 9 Hour provided MasterDrive with many opportunities for growth. “We anticipate the year ahead will be even more exciting with plenty of opportunities for growth as a result. One of these was the opportunity to meet the MEC of the Gauteng Department of Social Development, Morakane Mosupyoe, who is just as dedicated to road safety as MasterDrive.”

When the event returned to Kyalami in 2019 it was an important moment, following a 35-year break. “In the fourth year since this return, MasterDrive was proud to be a part of the motorsport event as it continues to grow each year.

“We look forward to participating in the many similar events already lined-up for MasterDrive this year. The Kyalami 9 Hour was a great way to kickstart 2023’s events,” says Herbert.
